UNICO STORM SET FOR AN IMPROVED STORM DURABILITY

The storm durability of an awning or caravan canopy is determined by a few factors. Firstly, the design of the awning or canopy is of importance. Unico has chosen aerodynamic shapes, which is achieved by the use of an arched aluminum frame. Unlike the awnings with mainly straight angles, the wind affects the round shape of the Unico awning and canopies a lot less.

CORRECT ANCHORING AT THE BASE

Another factor, which determines how storm durable your awning is and maybe the most important factor, is the anchoring at the base. It is of course important that you use the right pegs for the camping surface. It is best to use rock pegs for a rocky ground, or v-pegs in grass.

To improve the anchoring at the base more, it is possible to replace the D-rings at the bottom of your Unico awning and canopy with large stainless steel O-rings. These O-rings allow you to put wooden pegs of 40 cm in place.
